This position will be assisting in the production of injection molded pieces, coating and final inspection. This position is vital to the Production Team and a great opportunity for the right candidate to affect positive change in an exciting, dynamic and growing company while building a comprehensive knowledge of the business. -Basic blueprint reading (must attend a basic blueprint reading course).
-Referencing and understanding the work order package.
-Set up orders for next day production schedule.
-Load and unload molds in ovens and presses.
-Demold products from the tools.
-Responsible to learn casting process through training administered by other associates.
-Retrieve and stock molds and/or tools in the appropriate by other associates.
-Basic understanding of casting materials, pre-polymer, polymer, pigment and short A-D scale.
-Monitor and replenish drums in warmers.
-Responsible for appropriate turn on/off ovens, presses, ventilation and vacuum systems.
-Basic casting techniques.
-Support and back up other technicians to meet and exceed production requirements.
-Responsible to maintain a clean workstation and department.
-Delivers defect-free, quality products on-time to the next process and/or customer both internal and external.
-Responsible to support all positions in department to achieve maximum production.
-Responsible for continually suggesting improvements to the process/system.
-Responsible to continue learning other job functions.
-Responsible for fully understanding applicable policies and procedures of the department and corporation.
-Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
-High school diploma or GED equivalency.
-Ability to read blue prints and understand basic part prints.
-Ability to drive a hi-lo safely.
-Bend and/or lift and/or carry up to 60lbs.
-Climb ladders 14ft plus.
-Good mathematical ability.
-Ability to read and write.
-Ability to stand for a long period of time.
-Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
-Ability to do precision work within close tolerances.
-Ability to read digital/dial calipers.
-Ability to perform repetitive motions, gripping, turning, trimming, cutting, painting and sanding.
