Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative must project a positive, helpful attitude and is responsible for quoting, order entry, invoicing, setting stocking levels and purchasing for the lines distributed by the company. Key roles include maintaining and establishing new relationships with customers, and coordinating pricing and other activities with colleagues and vendors. An understanding of the products distributed, there general capabilities and part numbering schemes is required. Temp to hire.

-Interact with customer and vendors in a professional, competent and efficient manner via phone, in person and via electronic communications.
-Quote customers and enter sales orders received from the customer into Microsoft Dynamics GP2013 software.
-Invoice customer orders.
-Enter purchasing orders with suppliers via web portal or email.
-Track orders, request and maintain special pricing contract and participate in price negotiation.
-Submit monthly Point of Sale, stock levels and related reports created from GP2013 in excel per vendor requirements.
-Maintain price files on server and in GP2013.
-Work closely with engineering and panel build to enter and maintain bill of materials for system integration orders.
-Work with customers, vendors and application engineering to select products and determine part number and pricing per the customer’s inquiry.
Process returns for repair processing: communicate with customer and vendor to handle arrangements for quick turnaround.
-Solicit new customers via phone and email outreach efforts undertaken by the company.
-Update company line card and promotional literature, order and distribute vendor literature.
-Maintain product content of company website.
-Online product training and self-study required, occasional factory training possible.

-College degree desired. Electrical/electronic, business or supply chain.
-Two or more years’ experience in technical sales selling components to manufacturers (inside or outside)
-Purchasing experience with a machine build or manufacturing company also acceptable.
-Basic understanding of electricity/electronics: voltage, current, NPN/PNP wiring.
-Excellent computer skills with the ability to touch-type and navigate online resources.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word and Excel.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP is desirable.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Good negotiation skills.
-Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
-Professional demeanor with excellent recall and the ability to communicate technical concepts with confidence.
